So I like to experiment with the Navajo language to see how different topics sound in Navajo. In April of this year, I took a trip to the eastern part of the US, to the annual conference held by our church, the Churches of God General Conference (CGGC). My dad is pastor of Tsaile Community Church. My parents were invited & I tagged along. In this vid, I talk about the business aspects of the conference, the different trainings, church events, etc. During the same time, we visited other Churches of God churches in the area. So fun! After the end of the conference, my parents and I took a trip to New York City and did some sight-seeing & all that stuff. I talk about that part of the trip too. BTW, there are no words in the Navajo language for things like "conference" or "trainings." Words like this change based on who is talking. There are also no words for things like "subway" or "Hard Rock Cafe." Regardless, I give suggestions to how one would name these things in Navajo. For you Nav speakers out there, let me know what you think. For those of you that do not speak Navajo, subtitles in English, via annotations, will be added to this vid so you will be in the know of what's being said. I uploaded this video yesterday, but I didn't like how quicktime screwed up the frames. So I re-did this one with Movie Maker. It's not as clear as the last vid but, hey, the frames turned out awesome and the timing is in the right order. This is all about experimenting & trying different tools. Always fun! Enjoy!
